Your First Visit
Starting care is a big step. This page walks you through what to expect, so you can arrive feeling prepared and at ease.
What happens during your initial consultation
Your first appointment begins with a conversation. We will ask about your symptoms, when they started, what makes them better or worse, and your general health and daily routine.
Next comes an assessment, which may include posture observation, movement checks and a physical examination of the areas that concern you. We explain what we find in plain language and discuss whether chiropractic care is a good fit for your situation.

What to wear and bring
Comfortable clothing that allows easy movement
Any previous scans or imaging reports (X-ray, MRI, ultrasound)
Referral letters from your GP or other practitioners
A list of current medications and any relevant medical history
Your questions, written down if that helps
How treatment plans and follow-up visits work
After your assessment, we will talk through a proposed plan, including how many visits we suggest and how often. Plans are tailored to you, and we review progress as care continues, adjusting the approach where needed.
Follow-up visits are usually shorter than the first appointment and focus on treatment and how you are responding. You are always free to ask questions about your plan.
Fees and payment
We are happy to talk through fees and payment options before you book. Simply ask when you make an enquiry and we will give you the details that apply to your visit.
