Two wine merchants tasting wines from a row of glasses at the shop counter

Tasted blind at the counter before a wine earns a shelf

Around thirty new wines are opened at the counter each month, and only a handful are stocked. The two buyers taste each one with the label hidden and the price unknown, so a bottle wins its place on flavour alone.

Most of the range sits between $14 and $40, with a few older bottles kept in the cellar for special occasions. Every shelf card says what the wine tastes like and what it suits at the table, in words a dinner guest would use.

  • Every wine tasted before it is stocked
  • Shelf cards written in everyday words
  • Corked or faulty bottles replaced without fuss

From our shelf to your door

Delivery runs Tuesday to Saturday across the city. Alcohol delivery is restricted in some areas and not allowed in others, so each address is checked before anything is packed.

  1. Order

Choose bottles here or by phone. The delivery fee is added at checkout.

  2. Check

We confirm the address can receive alcohol and send you the delivery day.

  3. Pack

Bottles travel in fitted card sleeves, and gift boxes are wrapped before they leave.

  4. Hand over

The driver asks for photo ID. With nobody of legal drinking age at home, the order returns to the shop for another day.

Asked for something to go with a lamb tagine and went home with the Garnacha. It was exactly right, and the shelf card described it better than most wine lists do.

Buying, keeping and sending wine

Do you check ID?

Every time. Alcohol leaves the shop only with buyers old enough to drink it lawfully where they live, and that age varies from one country to the next. Photo ID is asked for at the counter and on delivery, and no order is handed over without it.

Where can you deliver?

Across the city, Tuesday to Saturday, to addresses where alcohol delivery is allowed. Some areas restrict it and sending wine abroad is limited by law in many places, so we confirm each address before the order is packed.

What happens if a bottle is corked?

Bring it back, or send a message, with most of the wine still in the bottle, and it is replaced or refunded. Cork taint makes a wine smell of damp cardboard; it happens now and then and is nobody's fault.

How should wine be kept at home?

Lying on its side, somewhere dark, steady and cool, ideally around 12 to 15 °C. A cupboard away from the oven and the boiler is fine for bottles you plan to open within a year.

Can a gift box go straight to the person?

Yes, with your message on a handwritten card inside. The person receiving it must be of legal drinking age, and the driver checks their ID at the door as well.

Can unopened bottles be returned?

Shop orders can come back within 14 days if the bottles are unopened and undamaged. For event orders, unopened bottles are collected within seven days and refunded in full.

We reply within one working day. Orders are sold only to buyers of legal drinking age.

About this sample page

A cellar's worth of bottles, sold with the age rule in view

Vintage Lane Wine Merchants is a made up shop, and this one page store shows how a wine merchant can sell bottles on AI Web Maker. Six bottles open the shop, each with a price, a vintage or wrapping choice and an Add to bag button. The gift box made to order has no price, so its card offers Enquire, which jumps down to the order form. Around the shelves sit a pairing table, a section on blind tasting and four delivery steps that end with an ID check at the door. The page reads like a good counter conversation written down.

A merchant starting on AI Web Maker writes a short note about the shop and its range, and the builder turns it into product cards, a bag and an enquiry form. Shoppers pick options, the delivery fee is added at checkout and a discount code can reward anyone who mixes a case. Rules on selling and delivering alcohol vary by country and region, so the age checks and delivery limits here are the shop's own practice. Hosting begins at launch, where $119 covers a year and $19 covers a month, and the domain is its own purchase. A fuller tour of every section sits on this sample's own page.
