Driveway and garden gates
Swing and sliding gates in flat bar, box section or infill panels, built square and hung on posts set in concrete.
Ironside makes gates, balustrades, staircases and structural frames for homes and businesses, and our mobile rig repairs whatever breaks on site. Every piece is measured at your property, drawn for approval, then cut, welded and finished in our own shop.

Prices are for mild steel with primer and paint unless stated. Galvanising and powder coating are priced on the quote.

Outdoors, the finish decides how long steel lasts far more than the steel itself. These are the options we offer and where each one earns its place.
| Finish | Best for | How it wears |
|---|---|---|
| Primer and paint | Indoor work and pieces you will repaint | Outdoors, needs a fresh coat every few years |
| Hot dip galvanised | Farm gates, fencing and hidden steel | A dull silver zinc coat that protects for decades |
| Galvanised and powder coated | Driveway gates and front railings | The longest life outdoors, in almost any colour |
| Powder coat only | Indoor stairs, furniture and frames | Tough and even indoors, but chips outside unless galvanised first |
| Stainless steel | Coastal homes, balustrades and kitchens | Brushed or polished, with an occasional clean |
| Weathering steel | Planters, screens and garden edging | Forms a stable rust coloured skin on purpose |

Larger pieces are cut, bent and welded in the workshop, where they can be jigged square and checked before they ever reach your property. The mobile rig carries a generator welder, cutting gear and stock steel, so most site repairs are finished in one visit.
Structural steel must follow the building codes and welding standards of the place it stands, and these differ from country to country. For beams, columns and anything that carries a load, we work from an engineer's design and keep a record of the materials and welds.
We visit, measure the opening or the broken part, and talk through design, finish and budget.
A drawing with sizes, sections and finish comes with the quote, usually within five working days.
The piece is cut, welded and dressed in the workshop, then sent out for galvanising or powder coating.
We fit, level and adjust on site, and show you how to keep hinges and latches running smoothly.
Gates, stairs and repairs from the last few months, for houses, farms and shops.

The gates swing level, close with a gentle push and have not dropped through two winters. The drawing showed every bar before a single cut was made.
The mixer frame at our bakery cracked on a Friday afternoon. The van was outside within two hours, and the mixer was running again before the evening bake.
The spiral stair arrived in four pieces, went up a narrow hallway and was bolted together in a day. Clean welds, and no grinder marks left on show.
Aluminium, yes, by TIG in the workshop. Cast iron can sometimes be repaired with the right rods and slow heating, but a part that carries a load is often better remade in steel.
Usually. Beams, columns, balconies and stairs must meet building codes, which vary by country and region. We work from an engineer's drawings, or introduce one we trust.
Most gates take two to five weeks, including galvanising and powder coating at specialist plants. You get a fitting date when the order is placed.
Yes. The mobile rig handles repairs, fitting and small fabrication on site. Welding near timber or inside occupied buildings needs a hot work plan and a fire watch, which we arrange.
Usually. We copy bar sizes, scrolls and finials from a surviving section, and source cast details from foundry catalogues when they are still made.
Made to order work takes a 50% deposit to buy steel and book the coating. The balance is due on fitting, and repairs are paid on completion, arranged directly with us.
Say what needs making or mending and where it is. Quote requests get a reply within one working day, and urgent repairs get a call back the same day.
The workshop is open for collections and drop off repairs on weekdays, and the van is out on the road most days.

About this sample page
Ironside is an invented shop whose single page lays out how a welding business can present made to order steel and mobile repairs together on AI Web Maker. Sparks rise over a welder in the opening view, and six priced services follow, from gates to parts for businesses. Three gate packages, a finishes table and a section on the workshop and van explain what customers get and why it lasts. A four step process and six photos of recent work make the offer tangible. Example reviews and practical answers clear the last doubts before the quote form. It is a compact model of how a fabrication shop can sell both craft and speed.
Welders and fabricators who use AI Web Maker describe their shop and the work they take on, and the builder drafts a site that includes an enquiry form. Quote and repair requests reach the shop through that form, and the price and payment are agreed with each customer directly. After launch, a year of hosting is $119, or $19 monthly, the domain is extra, and drafting and previewing are never billed. A shop focused on structural work could replace the gate packages with frame examples, and the page would still hold together. The sample is meant as a sturdy starting frame for your own words and photos.
