Every unit needs contents cover, from $6 a month, or proof of your own policy that covers goods kept in storage. A deposit of one month's rent is taken on the first day and returned when you leave.

Which size do you need?

Most people guess bigger than they need. These are the sizes our staff suggest most often, and a visit takes ten minutes if you would rather stand inside each one.

Security and access

Your unit is locked with your own padlock and only you hold the key. Around it, the site is controlled and watched day and night.

Gated site, personal entry code

The gate and the building doors open with a code that belongs to you alone, and every entry is logged.

Cameras throughout

Cameras cover the gate, every corridor and the loading bay, recorded day and night and watched by staff during reception hours.

Alarmed unit doors

Each door is alarmed and linked to a monitoring centre whenever the site is closed to customers.

Long access hours

Come and go from 06:00 to 22:00 on every day of the year, weekends and public holidays included.

Loading bay and trolleys

A covered bay, flat trolleys and a goods lift to every floor, so a van load moves inside without any heavy carrying.

No fixed term

Stay for one month or several years, and give 14 days' notice whenever you are ready to leave.

Around the site

Clean, dry and lit corridors, a bay that keeps the rain off while you unload, and parking right outside the drive up units.

A storage reception desk with boxes, tape and padlocks, a staff member helping a customer

Packing supplies at reception

Everything for a tidy unit is sold at the desk, so nothing gets forgotten on moving day. Strong boxes stack without crushing, and a fitted cover keeps a mattress clean for months.

Staff will happily suggest how many boxes a room usually needs before you buy.

  • Double wall boxes in three sizes, from $2.50
  • Tape, bubble wrap and packing paper
  • Mattress and sofa covers, from $9
  • Disc padlocks, $14, the type we recommend

What cannot be stored

For everyone's safety, and under the terms of every storage agreement, none of these may be kept in any unit. Local laws can add to the list, and they vary by country.

  • Food or anything perishable
  • Plants and animals of any kind
  • Fuel, oil and gas bottles
  • Paint thinners, solvents and chemicals
  • Fireworks, ammunition and explosives
  • Firearms and other weapons
  • Damaged or leaking batteries
  • Stolen goods or anything illegal
  • Waste or anything that smells
  • Cash and irreplaceable valuables

Not sure about something? Ask at reception before you bring it. Staff can refuse an item, and the agreement allows us to inspect a unit if there is reason to think it holds something on this list. Nobody may live or sleep in a unit.

Moving in, step by step

  1. Request a size

Send the form or call. We hold the unit for your start date and confirm the monthly price by phone or email.

  2. Bring identification

On day one, bring photo identification and proof of address, sign the agreement and choose your contents cover.

  3. Fit your padlock

Use your own disc padlock or buy one at the desk. Only you hold the key, and we never open a unit without notice except in an emergency.

  4. Load and go

Back up to the loading bay, take a trolley and the lift, then set your own entry code for every visit after.

Storing with SafeKeep (example reviews)

Between selling and buying there were seven weeks with nowhere to put a three bed house. The medium room took all of it, and the trolleys made the van quick to empty.
Tom and Ana B.Medium room, during a move
Stock for the shop goes in and out three times a week. Parking right at the roller door saves an hour on every trip.

Staff suggested a locker instead of the room asked about, and they were right. Dry, well lit and a gate code that has never failed.

Questions about storing with us

What is the shortest stay?

One month. After that the agreement rolls on month by month and ends 14 days after you tell us you are leaving.

Do goods in storage need insurance?

Yes. Either take our contents cover, from $6 a month, or show us your own policy if it covers goods kept away from home.

Is the building heated?

Indoor units are dry, ventilated and kept above freezing, which suits furniture, books and clothing. They are not climate controlled for wine or artworks, so ask before storing those.

Can someone else visit the unit?

Yes, once you add them to the agreement at reception. Each person gets their own entry code, and you can remove their access at any time.

Is there a deposit?

One month's rent is taken as a deposit when you move in and returned when you leave the unit empty, swept and with your padlock removed.

What happens if rent is not paid?

We contact you first and would always rather agree a plan. If rent stays unpaid, access is paused, and after the notice the agreement and local law require, the contents may be sold to clear the debt.

Request a unit or book a visit

Pick a size and the day you want to start, or ask to see the units first. Reception confirms the unit and the monthly price within two working hours.

  • Unit held for your start date
  • No fixed term, 14 days' notice
  • Boxes and padlocks ready at the desk

Reception uses these details to hold your unit or arrange the visit, and for nothing else.

About this sample page

How a storage centre can sell space in one scroll

SafeKeep Self Storage is a fictional storage centre whose one page site shows what a storage business can publish on AI Web Maker. A roller door lifts in the opening view to reveal the units, followed immediately by four sizes with monthly prices. The size guide, security cards and site photos answer the next questions renters have, in the order they usually ask them. A dark band lists the items that cannot be stored, and four steps explain moving in. Every section is aimed at a renter with a date in mind and a van to fill.

Storage operators begin on AI Web Maker with a note about their units, rents and opening hours, from which the builder shapes a first draft complete with a request form. Renters then ask for a size on a given date, and the operator says yes, proposes a different day or declines, with rent settled directly. There is no bill while the site is built and previewed. Once the units are online, hosting runs at $119 a year or $19 a month, and the web address is bought on top. A real operator could add floor plans of its own building and keep this simple order.
