Claims we handle

Every claim starts with what happened, where it happened and how the injury has changed daily life. These are the accidents we deal with most.

Road accidents

Drivers, passengers and motorcyclists hurt in a collision. We deal with the insurers so you can concentrate on getting better.

Cyclists and pedestrians

People hurt on foot or on a bike, including cases where the driver was uninsured or never found, which some places cover through a separate scheme.

Workplace injuries

Machinery, lifting, falls from height and unsafe sites. In many places a work injury runs through its own insurance system first, and we explain which one applies.

Slips, trips and falls

Falls in shops, on broken pavements or in rented homes, where an owner, a landlord or a public body may be responsible.

Claims for a child

A parent or guardian brings the claim for the child, and in many places a court must approve any settlement to protect the child's money.

Families after a death

When an accident takes a life, the family may be able to claim for lost support and funeral costs. We meet at a pace that suits you.

Time limits, and why the first call comes early

Every country and state sets a limitation period, the time within which a claim has to be started. Some run for years; others, such as claims against a public body, can need a formal notice within months. Once a limit passes, a claim can end however strong it is.

The first call finds out which limits apply to your accident and when they run out. We confirm the dates in writing, and if a claim is not one we can take, we say so in good time for you to ask another firm.

  • The date and place of the accident
  • Names of anyone involved, and any witnesses
  • The treatment you have had so far
  • Any letters from an insurer

How fees work

Fee rules for injury claims are not the same everywhere: they change from country to country and state to state, and some places do not allow paying only if a claim succeeds. Whatever applies, the agreement is in writing before any work begins.

ArrangementHow it worksCost to you
First callThirty minutes with a lawyer, by phone, video or in personNo charge
Paying only if the claim succeedsWhere the law allows it, our fee is a share of the amount recovered, agreed in writing and capped wherever the law sets a capA share agreed in writing
Hourly feeUsed where a success fee is not allowed or not chosen$240 an hour
ExpensesMedical reports, court fees and expert evidence, explained before any are paidAt cost

What you could owe if a claim fails depends on the agreement and on local rules, including whether a losing side can be ordered to pay the other side's costs. We set that out in writing before you sign anything.

How a claim moves

Four stages, each explained before it starts. You decide at every stage whether to carry on.

  1. First call

Thirty minutes to hear what happened, check the time limits and say plainly whether a claim looks worth bringing.

  2. Evidence

Medical records, photos, witness names and proof of lost earnings, gathered with your consent.

  3. The claim

We put the claim to the insurer or the person responsible, with a medical report on your injuries.

  4. Agreement, or court if needed

Many claims settle by agreement. If yours does not, we explain the court route, its cost and its risks before you decide.

What to keep after an accident

Evidence fades quickly. Start a folder, paper or on your phone, and put these in it.

  • Photos of the scene
  • Photos of injuries as they heal
  • Names of witnesses
  • The other driver's details
  • Receipts for every cost
  • Pay slips showing time off
  • A diary of symptoms
  • Letters from insurers
  • Hospital and clinic notes
  • Repair estimates

Please do not sign anything from an insurer, or accept an early offer, before you understand what it would settle. An offer once accepted is usually final.

Where we meet

At the office, at home or on the ward, wherever travelling would be hard.

Straight answers about claims

How long is there to make a claim?

It depends on the country or state, the kind of accident and who is responsible. Some limits run for years and some need notice within months, and different rules can apply to children. Call early and we check the dates for your case.

What is a claim worth?

Nobody can promise an amount at the start, and we will not guess one. The value depends on the injury, its effect on work and daily life, and the evidence. Once a medical report is in, we explain a realistic range.

What happens if the claim fails?

That depends on the fee agreement and on local rules. Under an arrangement where you pay only if the claim succeeds, our own fee is not charged when it fails, but some expenses or the other side's costs may still be owed in some places. The written agreement sets all of this out before you sign.

Will the case go to court?

Many claims settle by agreement without a hearing. Some need court proceedings, either to protect a time limit or because the other side will not agree. We explain the risks and costs before any court step, and the decision is yours.

Can a claim be made for a child?

Yes, a parent or guardian can usually bring it on the child's behalf. Time limits for children are often different, and in many places a court must approve any settlement. We explain how that works where you live.

Does reading this site count as legal advice?

It does not. These pages describe how Redfern works in general terms, and injury law, fee rules and limitation periods vary from one country or state to the next. Advice begins once a lawyer knows the facts of your accident and you have agreed terms.

About this sample page

Before the limitation clock runs down

Redfern Injury Law exists only on this page, which was built to show how an injury firm might win trust on AI Web Maker without promising a single figure. A countdown ring in the opening view introduces the thirty minute first call and quietly points at time limits. Six claim types follow in plain sentences, then a section explaining that limitation periods differ by country and by state. A fee table sets out success fees where allowed, an hourly option and expenses, all agreed in writing. Taken together, the page gives an injured visitor knowledge first and a sales pitch never.

An injury practice can produce a draft like this by describing its claims, its office and how far it travels for home and hospital visits. The builder returns claim types, a fee table and an enquiry form ready to edit. Enquiries then come through the form, and the firm answers in the way each person asked. The site costs nothing until it is published, after which hosting is billed at $119 yearly or $19 monthly, with the domain on its own bill. Reasons for every section are set out on the sample page linked below, and any firm can rearrange it to lead with its strongest work.
