A guest reading in a bright lounge with books and a long table

The lounge is yours too

Downstairs, the lounge opens onto the courtyard and the old acacia tree that gave the house its name. Tea, coffee and fruit are out from 07:00 until 22:00, and each room has its own shelf in the guest fridge.

Guests read the paper here, plan the day with our hand drawn map of the town, or work at the long table by the window. After reception closes the lounge stays open, quietly, for anyone who cannot sleep.

  • Tea, coffee and fruit through the day
  • Guest fridge and a microwave
  • Long table with power points
  • Books, games and town guides

How a stay request works

Four steps from sending your dates to handing back the key.

  1. Send your dates

Choose a room type, add your arrival and departure dates and the number of guests.

  2. Hear back within two hours

Between 07:00 and 22:00 reception confirms the room or offers the closest match. Overnight requests are answered by 08:00.

  3. Arrive from 14:00

Reception is staffed until 22:00. Arriving later? We text you a door code and leave your key in a named envelope.

  4. Leave your bags

Check out by 11:00, then leave your luggage with us until 18:00 for a last afternoon in town.

Guests on their stay (example reviews)

Spotless room, a quiet night and a proper breakfast before the early bus. Walking into town took no time at all, even with a suitcase.
Daniel K.Single room, five nights
We stayed two weeks while our father was in hospital. The weekly rate helped, and the staff asked after him every single morning.
Sofia and Marco R.Double room, two weeks
Room for all four of us, and the courtyard kept the children busy while we finished our coffee. Good value so close to the centre.

Good to know before you arrive

Is there parking?

Eight spaces behind the house are given out in order of arrival, at $5 a night. The town car park at the end of the street is open around the clock.

Do you take longer stays?

Yes, many guests stay for work or while family is in hospital. From seven nights the rate drops by 15 percent, rooms are still cleaned daily and the bed linen is changed every third day.

Are children welcome?

Yes. The family room sleeps four, and we lend a cot and a high chair at no charge. The courtyard is closed off from the street, so children can play while you finish breakfast.

Can guests with limited mobility stay?

The family room and one double are on the ground floor, reached from the courtyard without steps. That double has a walk in shower with a seat and grab rails.

Is it quiet at night?

Quiet hours run from 22:00 to 07:00, and every bedroom faces the courtyard or the garden rather than the street.

How do cancellations work?

Cancel by 14:00 on the day before arrival and there is nothing to pay. Where the first night was paid in advance, it is refunded if you cancel three days or more ahead.

Request a stay

Tell us the room type, your dates and how many are coming. Reception answers within two hours between 07:00 and 22:00 to confirm the room, and requests sent overnight are answered first thing.

  • No deposit for stays of up to three nights
  • The weekly rate applies from the seventh night
  • Breakfast included in every rate

We use your details for this stay and nothing else.

About this sample page

What the Acacia Court sample teaches a guest house owner

Acacia Court Guest House is invented, and its single page site shows how a town guest house can present practical stays on AI Web Maker. Four room types with rates that include breakfast sit at the top, followed by a list of what every room contains. The lounge, the breakfast times and walking minutes to the town's main places explain why the house is convenient. A short sequence shows guests how a stay request is handled, from sending dates to leaving bags on the last day. Each section answers a question a traveller would otherwise phone to ask.

Building a site like this starts with a few lines about the rooms, the breakfast and the neighbourhood. The builder turns those lines into a draft with room cards, a request form and supporting sections that the owner can reword and reorder. Guests send requests that the house confirms, moves to other dates or turns down, and payment stays between the guest house and its guests. After launch the house pays $119 a year for hosting plus its domain, and nothing is billed while the pages are drafted or previewed. The sample page below walks through Acacia Court section by section.
