Candles are poured here in small batches, and the ceramics, linen and cards come from makers we know by name. When a batch sells out, the next one is usually a few weeks away.

Every parcel wrapped at the counter

Each order is folded into tissue, tied with ribbon and packed in a sturdy box with paper padding, so a mug arrives in one piece and a candle arrives unmarked. The card is written in ink by one of us, in words you send or words we suggest.

When a gift goes straight to someone else, the parcel carries no price, no invoice and no receipt. The person opening it sees the ribbon and the note, and nothing else.

  • Tissue, ribbon and paper padding on every order
  • Cards written by hand, never printed
  • No prices inside a parcel sent as a gift

Candle safety, plainly

A candle is an open flame. A card with these rules sits in the lid of every candle we sell, because they matter far more than the scent.

Do thisWhy it matters
Never leave a lit candle unattendedPut it out before you leave the room or go to sleep.
Keep it clear of curtains, shelves, children and petsFlames reach further than they look, and a knocked jar spills hot wax.
Trim the wick to about 5 mm before each lightingA long wick makes a tall, smoky flame and blackens the glass.
Burn for four hours at most, on a heat proof surfaceThe glass grows hot and the wick can drift toward the side.
Stop when about 1 cm of wax is leftBelow that, the flame heats the base of the jar and can crack it.
Put the flame out with a snuffer, never waterWater makes hot wax spit and can shatter warm glass.

Candle safety guidance and labelling rules vary by country. Always follow the label on the candle and the fire safety advice where you live.

Before you send a gift

Can a gift go straight to the person it is for?

Yes. Give their address at checkout and the parcel goes to them with no price, invoice or receipt inside. A card written by hand goes in with every gift; email us the words with the name on the order.

How soon will a parcel arrive?

Orders placed by 13:00 on a working day are wrapped and sent the same day, and most arrive within two to four working days. The delivery fee is added at checkout. For an address abroad, ask first, as customs rules and duties vary by country.

How do we burn a candle safely?

Never leave it burning unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children, pets and drafts. Trim the wick to about 5 mm, burn for no more than four hours at a time, stop when about 1 cm of wax is left, and put it out with a snuffer rather than water.

Can a gift be returned or exchanged?

Unused items in their packaging can come back within 30 days, from the buyer or the person who received them, for an exchange or a refund to the buyer. Burned candles, written cards and bespoke boxes return only if they arrive damaged. Consumer rights also depend on the country you live in.

Do you make boxes for teams and weddings?

Yes, from ten boxes to a few hundred. Use the form below with the budget per box, the number and the date, and a shortlist with photos follows within one working day.

Is wrapping included?

Every order is wrapped in tissue and tied with ribbon at no charge. Gift boxes come in a lidded box sturdy enough to keep and use again.

Plan a bespoke box or a group order

Tell us who the gifts are for, the budget per box and the date they need to arrive. A shortlist with photos and a total comes back within one working day, and nothing is packed until you say yes.

  • Boxes built around a person or a team

About this sample page

How The Little Gift Parlour turns browsers into gift givers

The Little Gift Parlour is a fictional shop, written to show how a gift retailer can sell candles, homeware, cards and gift boxes on AI Web Maker. Two tall photos open the page beside a promise of tissue, ribbon and a card written in ink. Eight items follow with prices and simple options, and a second shelf offers two ready gift boxes and a bespoke box sold by enquiry. A wrapping section confirms that no price travels inside a gift, and a candle safety table lists six rules with their reasons. Every section helps a buyer choose for someone else with confidence.

Further down, a four step guide shows how a bespoke box grows from a few lines about the recipient into a ribboned parcel. The questions cover delivery times, returns from either the buyer or the recipient, team and wedding orders, and how to burn a candle safely. An owner starting on AI Web Maker describes the shop and its makers, and the builder sets out the store, the gift boxes and an enquiry form ready for editing. Shoppers pick options, collect items in the bag and meet the delivery fee at checkout, with discount codes ready for busy seasons. Any shop that sells presents could borrow this order and stock it with its own shelves.
