Day rates include 250 km, taxes and the basic cover set out in the rental agreement. Weekly rentals cost less per day and come with unlimited kilometres. We guarantee the class, the seats and the luggage space, while the exact model depends on what is at the desk that day.

A refundable security deposit is held at the desk when you collect the vehicle, from $200 for an economy car to $400 for the van. It is released once the vehicle comes back in the condition it left.

We confirm the car
Within three working hours we confirm the reservation or offer the nearest class we have.
Collect the keys
Bring your licence and ID, walk round the car with us, then settle payment and the deposit.
Bring it back
Return the car with a full tank. We check it together and release the deposit.
Licence and age rules, checked before you travel
Rules on licences and minimum ages for renting a car vary by country, and sometimes by the class of vehicle. At our desks the main driver must be at least 21 and have held a full licence for two years, and drivers under 25 pay a young driver charge of $12 a day.
Visitors may need an international driving permit alongside their own licence, depending on where it was issued. Tell us the country on your licence when you reserve, and we say exactly what to bring before you set off.

Before you rent
What is the fuel policy?
Every car leaves with a full tank and should come back full. If it returns with less, we charge the missing fuel at the pump price plus a $15 refuelling fee, so filling up nearby is usually cheaper.
Can we change the dates or cancel?
Yes. Dates can change whenever the class is still available, and cancelling costs nothing because payment is only taken at pick up. A short message lets us offer the car to someone else.
What if we bring the car back late?
We allow an hour after the agreed time. Beyond that an extra day is charged, unless you call ahead and we extend the rental at the normal daily rate.
Can the car be taken to another country?
Some neighbouring countries are allowed with written permission and an added charge, because cover and road rules change at the border. Ask before you reserve and we confirm which countries the car may enter.
Is there a limit on kilometres?
Day rentals include 250 km a day, with extra kilometres at $0.20 each. Rentals of seven days or more include unlimited kilometres.
What happens if the car breaks down?
Roadside help is included around the clock on the number printed on the key tag. If the car cannot be fixed quickly at the roadside, we bring a replacement of the same class.
