Cord safety in homes with young children
Looped cords and chains on blinds and curtains can strangle a young child, and accidents happen quickly and quietly. Every blind we make for a home leaves with its safety parts fitted, and for children's rooms we recommend coverings with no cords at all.

From first visit to final bracket
Most orders are fitted about three weeks after measuring. Shutters take four to five weeks, because every frame is made to order.

Questions about blinds and curtains
Can we measure the windows ourselves?
You can, though we prefer to measure. When we take the measurements, the fit is our responsibility, and a blind that does not fit is remade at our cost.
How long does an order take?
Most blinds and curtains are fitted about three weeks after the measuring visit. Shutters take four to five weeks because each frame is made to order.
Which blinds are safest for children's rooms?
Cordless and motorised blinds remove loose cords and chains altogether. Where a chain is needed, it is held taut against the wall. Child safety rules for window coverings vary by country, and we always meet the rules where you live.
Can we buy blinds from your website?
No. Every blind and curtain is measured, made and fitted by us, which is how we stand behind the fit. Use the form to book a measuring visit or ask for a quote.
Do blackout blinds make a room completely dark?
Blackout fabric stops light passing through the blind, though a little still creeps round the edges. Side channels, or a blind paired with lined curtains, darken the room much further.
How is an order paid for?
Half the order is paid as a deposit so making can begin, and the rest on the day of fitting. Both payments are made straight to the showroom, however suits you best.
